Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers are two of the best active quarterbacks in the game today. Wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling has played with both of them. In a recent interview, MVZ highlighted the major difference between both the QBs.

Valdes-Scantling was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 2018 and he played there till 2021. In 2022, MVZ was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs.

This season, the WR has moved to the Buffalo Bills. However, by spending four years with A-Rod and two years with Patrick Mahomes, he has gained a special vantage point to compare them.

On Thursday, he appeared on The Herd with Colin Cowherd. The two-time Super Bowl winner mentioned the similarities and differences in styles of Aaron Rodgers and Mahomes.

“Pat’s a lot more vocal, rally the team. Aaron's more, right in your face, talk to you right in your face as opposed to the whole team, he goes to each individual.
"And Pat addresses the whole team, but they're both great at what they do, they lead in different ways.”
“They're both super competitive. I think that's, between those two guys, that's the biggest similarity into them.”

Marquez Valdes-Scantling also pointed out the age difference between the two QBs. He learned a lot under both Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers, which will help him in the next chapter of his career.

Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers can’t seem to face off

Last season, the Week 4 matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Jets was billed as the clash of two great QBs. However, as Rodgers injured his Achilles in the first week of the season, this face-off didn't happen.

However, this was not the first time they couldn’t take the field against each other. Their first meeting was scheduled in 2019, but Patrick Mahomes injured his knee and couldn’t participate.

In 2021, the Chiefs and Packers were once again set to take on each other, though this time Aaron Rodgers missed the game due to a COVID-19 positive test.

The Jets and the Chiefs are not scheduled to play against each other this season. Fans will have to wait longer to see the two stars go up against each other.
