The Netflix special, "The Roast of Tom Brady," was a monumental success. It was the sixth-most-watched event on Netflix from April 29 to May 5. The roast grabbed a lot of eyeballs and bagged mixed reactions, with the majority of them being positive. 'Good Will Hunting' actor Matt Damon, who is also a friend of Tom Brady, spoke on the Netflix special.
Damon appeared as a guest on Wednesday's episode of The Rich Eisen Show. When asked about Brady's roast, Damon said that while he doesn't enjoy the roasting culture, he had a good time watching the Netflix special. Damon added that there are areas where the roast crosses boundaries and gets "cringy."

"The roasting culture as fun as it is to watch. I never understand why people do it. You know what I mean? Like, I don't want to hear, a bunch of my friends get up and like, rip me apart in public. But it was a lot of fun."
