Matt LaFleur knew he was taking a risk when he decided to start his star QB Jordan Love in the game against their divisional rivals, the Chicago Bears. The Bears last won against the Packers in 2018, but it seems like 2025 could be the end of years-long domination by Green Bay.
In the second quarter, the QB suffered an elbow injury. He had the ball in his hands when he threw it towards Josh Jacobs. Jacobs caught the ball, but Love was tackled just after throwing. Austin Booker took him down, and Love accidentally hit his right elbow on the helmet of one of his offensive linemen.
Love is questionable to return to the game, the team announced on X. He was examined by the medical team. Mallik Willis filled in for him during his absence.
The team has already clinched a playoff spot, and if Love's injury turns out to be something serious, it could jeopardize the team's postseason.

Jordan Love attributed his NFL success so far to Aaron Rodgers
Speaking to Rich Eisen on his show, Jordan Love said that he owed a large part of his NFL success to getting the opportunity to be Aaron Rodgers' understudy and watching him play and learn.
"I do believe, for sure, that having those three years to sit behind a legend like Aaron Rodgers, just watching him work, learning and picking his brain, definitely helped me so much," Love said.
Could Jordan Love serve as a blueprint to other young QBs, fans, and owners that sometimes it's better to let a QB sit and learn from the sidelines than start him immediately?
