Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams will travel to Detroit to face the Lions in their season opener. This is a rematch of the last season's Wildcard Round matchup in which the Lions defeated the Rams 24-23.

Stafford played 12 seasons in Detroit before he was traded to the Rams, and the fans out there respect him for whatever he did for the team. However, there was no love lost between them during the playoff game last season.

Kelly Stafford, wife of the Rams quarterback, recently talked about the upcoming game on her podcast. Kelly revealed that she will not be attending the game in Detroit, but she hopes that her husband will 'kick their a**'.

Here's what she said on the 'The Morning after with Kelly Stafford and Hank' podcast:

"Well, I am excited for you to go back there, and I hope it is an incredible experience. I know we've had amazing experiences there, and I'm gonna remember those as you know, I'm not going, but I hope you kick their a**."
"Not to say, obviously, I hope you kick everybody's a**...", said Kelly Stafford. "I love Detroit, but you know what? They got their win last year, you know now it's our turn."

Kelly Stafford has a lot of respect for Detroit, but it's clear that she really wants the Rams to avenge last season's playoff loss in Week 1. Both teams are in good shape, so we can expect to see a great game.

The Lions lost in the NFC Championship Game last season and enter this season with high expectations. However, if Stafford could lead the Rams to a win this upcoming Sunday, doubts will arise regarding whether the Lions are ready to win the Super Bowl.

After the Rams lost to the Lions in the Wildcard Game last season, Kelly Stafford revealed that the Lions fans booed their four daughters, and she was not happy with it.

Due to that incident, Matthew Stafford's family might have some bitter feelings for the Lions fans. As a result, the Rams quarterback will be determined to put on a show on Sunday and make things tough for the team that drafted him in 2009.

In the 24-23 loss to the Lions in the playoffs last season, Stafford threw for 367 yards and two touchdowns with a passer rating of 120.9. With the inclusion of Blake Corum and Cooper Kupp being fully healthy, the Rams have a better offense this year, and they could surprise a lot of people.
