Matthew Stafford's wife Kelly pays ode to Rams community as team heads to divisional round

The new year hasn't been the easiest for the LA community. With the wildfires causing havoc, many people suffered terrible losses as thousands were evacuated.

As the Los Angeles Rams head to the NFL divisional round clash against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Matthew Stafford's wife, Kelly Stafford, reached out to share a heartfelt message for the community, her husband and their team in LA on Friday.

"Our guys brought home a win for the city of LA this week. I wanted to share the story of how we all got there and how the @rams put family first... sick or healthy, we were all sticking together," Kelly wrote in her IG post.

As per Kelly, the Rams family has to stick together under any circumstances. Of course, she highlighted their wild-card win while maintaining the brave firefighters and other first responders are the true heroes in their country today.

Hoping to spread some more inspiration, Kelly added:

"It's nothing compared to what our brave first responders are battling or what many families are facing but I hope it gives a little bit of inspiration of just what this city's community is capable of. I have resources in my highlights of how to give back during this time❤️ #lastrong.

Matthew Stafford's family had to evacuate due to LA wildfires

Staying in LA, the Staffords were one of the residents evacuated due to the wildfire. Kelly Stafford described the experience as traumatic, recounting the same on her "The Morning After" podcast on Thursday.

"I start getting these texts and it wakes me up and I'm, like, 'What's going on?' And all I'm seeing is 'Get out now. get out now.' I had packed our stuff, like, our documents, photographs, things that matter, in my car already. There was a few things that needed to done."

"Matthew was at work and so I'm in communications with someone in the neighborhood who's helping me grab some things. But, you know, your stomach drops. And then LAPD is knocking on doors telling people to get out now," she added.

Kelly has been extremely vocal about the wildfires, even offering her kudos to all first responders.

As the disaster slowly subsides, the Rams and Matthew Stafford continue to prep for the divisional round road clash against the Eagles on Sunday.
