Matthew Stafford’s wife Kelly recalls horrible behavior from an ‘Eagles legend’ at Rams clash

The divisional round game between the Philadelphia Phillies and the LA Rams left Matthew Stafford’s wife Kelly disturbed. Her experience was sour when a former NFL player’s rude behavior took aim at her and her family. The worst part was she initially mistook the ex-player for a rowdy fan.

"I fully thought this was a fan that was acting a certain way," Kelly said. [5:30] "He was in the suite next to us and he was kind of just taunting a little bit, which, you know, you understand. But then, when I was told that he was an ex-player, it really baffled me. I expected it from a fan, I didn't really engage. But to get it from an ex-player and a supposed legend, I don't know what that means. Philadelphia has, like, Philadelphia legends, I guess."

The confrontation escalated when the ex-player showed disrespectful gestures like the "loser" sign in spite of the presence of Kelly’s young daughters, who were seated nearby.

"He was taunting the whole suite, which was honestly again, if you're a fan, I got it. We were all in LA gear, like totally understand it. But then he was doing the loser sign and my girls were sitting right there," she continued.

That said, Kelly didn’t remember his name.

As the conversation rolled, Matthew Stafford's wife, Kelly Stafford was quick to praise the Philadelphia fans for being kind and friendly at the Rams vs. Eagles clash on Monday.

Mrs Stafford shared:

"I kept getting asked, which is really funny, um, about the fans. Like, everyone kept warning me, "Well, Philadelphia, Philadelphia historically is not known as the City of Brotherly Love, even if it is known as the City of Brotherly Love."

She added:

"But everyone was very kind. Everyone’s like, "Are you having—are we not all that bad? Are you having—like, are you okay? Can we help you in any way?" And I was like, "Wow, this is really nice. Thank you so much."

That said, even though the Rams lost 28-22 to the Eagles, Kelly was still treated with respect. As she and her family left the stadium, many Philly fans told her that her husband, Matthew Stafford, was one of the best.

FYI, the rivalry between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams is quite fierce. It dates back to the 1940s.
