It's not uncommon for NFL stars and their partners to face criticism and trolling from fans. Rams star Matthew Stafford's wife Kelly Stafford has often faced fan-trolling on her social media. She recently broke down into tears while sharing her experiences with fans on her podcast, The Morning After with Kelly Stafford and Hank.
Speaking about the social media hate on the show co-hosted by reporter Hank Winchester, Stafford was visibly emotional and said:
"It's not like I'm broadcasting the fact to my husband or someone like, 'Well look what this so and so said'. And it feels lonely, and it feels like no one has my back, and so it's like you try to handle it yourself." (20:46)

"But I do want to make it aware that if you're listening to this and you are one of those people that comments horrible things on anyone's Instagram, just stop because it's hurtful," Stafford said. "And you never know what something you could say could do to someone, so just stop."
Matthew Stafford's wife Kelly Stafford reveals how she plans to be "better" in her marriage
Kelly Stafford has been married to Matthew Stafford since 2015 and she confessed to feeling guilty about taking her husband for granted on the recent episode. Stafford revealed how she planned to change this situation.
"I take Matthew for granted a lot," Stafford said. "This new year, I want to do a better job of reminding him of how grateful I am to be married to a man who is incredible with our daughters, has a level head about almost everything except for my mornings with my kids. I win that one because you're not here."
Stafford went on to explain what she felt she needed to improve and said:
"He supplies us with an incredible life but not only that, he fills this home with love constantly. If I'm having a bad day, he is the first one coming over to me, hugging me, asking me. If he has a bad day, I'm the one going, 'Well, I had a bad day too'. And that's not a marriage um and I need to be better with it."
Kelly Stafford has previously revealed that she went to therapy to deal with the discomfort caused by her people-pleasing nature. During the same podcast, she revealed that another New Year resolution for her was to improve and try to reduce the emphasis she has laid for herself on being a people-pleaser.
Meanwhile, Matthew Stafford and the Rams are first in the NFC West this season with a 10-6 record. The QB has 20 touchdowns and has passed for 3,762 yards with a completion percentage of 65.8%.
