Matthew Stafford's wife Kelly takes shots at NFL for 'killing' the fun with strict celebration rules

Matthew Stafford's wife Kelly isn't too fond of regulations that the NFL has instituted for celebrations. Over the years, the league has added multiple new pointers to its rule book, especially towards celebrations.

It's common knowledge that the league has been quite strict about what types of celebrations an athlete can perform during a game. Kelly isn't happy about these rules.

She recently took shots at the NFL for "killing" the fun with its regulations around celebrations. Sharing her take in Wednesday's episode of "The Morning After" podcast, Kelly Stafford said:

"Football is very subjective. What the refs find to be a penalty with the celebrating world is very interesting. The NFL has been criticized for the strict celebration rules and being the no-fun league, which I agree with.

"I'm like, 'You guys are taking away.' It's part of getting into the game with fans too. Fans like the celebrations. You're killing kind of the fun of the game if you're going to kill all the celebrations," Kelly further added. (32:46)

Before sharing her take on the NFL's rules for celebrations, Kelly Stafford opened up about her daughter Tyler's interest in learning about the sport.

In the latest episode of "The Morning After" podcast on Wednesday, Kelly Stafford talked about enjoying the Los Angeles Rams' Week 17 win over the New York Jets with her daughter Tyler. The podcaster recalled how Tyler showed great interest in football.

"I love that Tyler asked if she could snuggle and watch the game with me last night," Kelly said. "I was like, 'Oh my God,' and she had questions. She was just like, 'Mommy, why do they tackle that guy like, why don't they tackle everyone? Like why does the guy carrying the ball?'

"I was like, 'Well, he has the ball and so you know you want to get him to the ground cuz then the play is over. And she was like, 'Well, why doesn't he just give the ball to somebody else when he gets tackled?' You know she's asking these questions and it's freaking adorable," Kelly further added. (27:52)

After enjoying the Rams vs Jets game with Tyler, Kelly Stafford celebrated Christmas Eve with her kids with a cozy movie night. The podcaster later recapped her movie night via her Instagram, showing off adorable moments with her daughters.
