Matthew Stafford is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that he's not the next NFL star to have his home broken. Over the last few months, stars such as Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Joe Burrow's homes were burglarized. Stafford is going to be especially careful since he also has four young children.

The Los Angeles Rams QB had the police and NFL security come over to his house in early December and vet it for any security loopholes, as reported by TMZ.

The team also gave Matthew Stafford and his family tips on how they could further enhance the security of their house, which he had bought for $28 million from Jennifer Lopez.

According to security officials, the South American gang believed to be behind the break-ins uses drones, stalks players' social media, and researches publicly available game schedules to time their heists.

The FBI has warned professional athletes that organized gangs have their homes on their radars because they think they contain expensive designer items like watches, jewelry and cash.

Joe Burrow falls victim to burglary before Matthew Stafford

The most recent NFL star to fall victim to a burglary attempt was Joe Burrow. While he was away on an MNF game against the Dallas Cowboys, Olivia Ponton, who was at the Cincinnati Bengals star's home, called 911 and told them that the house had been broken into.

"Someone is trying to break into the house right now. My daughter is there. This is Joe Burrow’s house," her mother informed the police before Olivia herself dialed them up. "She is staying there. He’s at the football game. She’s wondering what she should do, if she should be hiding, or if she should go outside. She said someone was in the house."

Later, speaking about the break-in, Joe Burrow said that he felt like his privacy had been violated as, because of the break-in, his connection with Ponton came to light.

"I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one, and way more is out there than I would want out there and that I want to share."

Before Burrow, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce's homes were broken into and they too were away on MNF games. $20,000 was stolen from Kelce's house on Oct. 7, while there is no dollar estimate of what was stolen from Mahomes' house. Kelce and Swift had spent that night at KC hotel.
