The Raiders lost to the Broncos in Week 5 to fall to the bottom of the AFC West to complete a week in which Davante Adams requested a trade. Yet, Maxx Crosby is not worried about any of that as he focuses on getting Las Vegas back to winning. The 34-18 win saw Denver rise to 3-2 and second spot in the division behind the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs. The Chargers are on a bye this week.
After Raiders coach Antonio Pierce liked a social media post that entertained the possibility of Davante Adams leaving the Raiders, the wide receiver requested a trade. There looks to be a disconnect between the player and the coach.
Such questions would have receded a bit had Las Vegas won in Week 5, but because they were walloped by the Broncos, the media immediately asked Maxx Crosby about the situation. The star defender, though, was not willing to stir the pot any further and said he was focused on the Raiders' future and wished Davante Adams well on his current rehab from a hamstring injury. He noted:
"It is what it is. You think I'm not used to this sh*t going on. It is what it is ... Davante is my boy. I love Davante. And he is gonna do what he's going to do, happy for him, wish him the best. He's not healthy right now. He's gotta get healthy. We're focused on the Raiders. We're focused on who's here now and we're focused on winning. So, gotta find ways to do that."

Maxx Crosby backs Antonio Pierce amid Davante Adams trade fallout
With Davante Adams' relationship with Antonio Pierce under scrutiny, Maxx Crosby clarified earlier in the week to Complex that he does not have any problems with the coach. He said:
"Me and AP have a great relationship. He's real. Everybody feels that energy. He doesn't play games. It's black and white and that's how you create a great culture and it's player-driven. At the end of the day, the coaches, they steer the ship, but the players drive that thing. It's a big difference. And he believes in us. We believe in him, and that's really all we're focused on. It's just finding ways to improve and win."
Maxx Crosby gave his vote of confidence to Antonio Pierce despite whatever might be happening with Davante Adams, adding,
"It doesn't matter what everybody else has to say, they can say whatever they want, but at the end, you're going to know who the real fakers are, who the real ones are, and we're just trying to put our team in a position to have a chance when it really matters."
The Raiders might end up losing the wide receiver but the pass rusher remains the leader of this franchise and is still committed to staying put.
