Maxx Crosby injury update: Latest on Raiders DE's status for Week 4 fantasy football

In Week 3, the Las Vegas Raiders suffered a humiliating 36-22 loss at home against the Carolina Panthers at Allegiant Stadium.

Las Vegas' underwhelming defensive display was partly a result of Maxx Crosby's innocuous outing as he was impacted by the foot injury he sustained in the Week 2 win against Baltimore.

Crosby's status has been up in the air leading up to the Week 4 game against the Cleveland Browns.

On Friday, the team announced that Crosby and wide receiver Davante Adams would miss the Raiders' home game against the Browns.

However, the team has officially listed him as doubtful on their injury report, despite him sitting out of practice for the entire week. Regardless, it's clear now that the veteran defensive end will take no part in their game on Sunday against the Browns.

Crosby's absence is a massive blow to the defense, who couldn't keep up with the much-maligned Panthers offense despite having him on the field. Las Vegas will have to rely on Tyree Wilson in the 27-year-old's absence.

Crosby suffered a foot injury on the penultimate play of the Raiders' Week 2 win over the Baltimore Ravens and was later diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain.

He was a limited participant in practice throughout the week and was listed as questionable for the game against the Panthers. He played with a heavily taped ankle, which affected his mobility, and he struggled to leave his mark on the game.

Veteran quarterback Andy Dalton, who was making his first start since Week 3 of the 2023 campaign, had a comfortable outing against the Raiders defense, completing 26 of his 37 pass attempts for 319 yards and three touchdowns.

Crosby couldn't be the disruptive force that he often is and without him pressuring the quarterback, the Las Vegas defense crumbled against the team expected to finish with the worst record in the league.
