Maxx Crosby has been mentioned as a potential trade chip for the Las Vegas Raiders following Davante Adams' departure. After dealing Adams to the New York Jets, the Raiders could find themselves in a new saga with one of their best players.
Amid a 2-4 start to the season, the star defensive end sent a cryptic message about his goals and future in the NFL on Thursday.
“I’m not here to rebuild. I’m here to win," he told reporters in the Raiders locker room. "I don't know, whatever that means, but I’m here to win now. Wherever I'm gonna be, I’m gonna be here to win, so that's all that matters to me."

Ever since the Davante Adams trade materialized, Crosby's name has been mentioned in several rumors. Some say he could join the star wide receiver in New York, others say he could be Aiden Hutchinson's replacement on the Detroit Lions.
Crosby has always been competitive, but regardless of his connection with the Raiders, he made it clear he's trying to win and will do so at SoFi Stadium or elsewhere. This could be the beginning of the end of his tenure with the team, but the front office has made a decision about this.
Mark Davis makes clear statement about Maxx Crosby's future
Shipping Maxx Crosby away would be a terrific business for the Raiders, considering the return they could get. One of the best defenders in the league, Crosby would demand a plethora of draft picks.
That said, owner Mark Davis made it clear that the player isn't going anywhere despite all the rumors.
“It’s just not happening,” Davis said, via the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
He lamented that the rumors were getting a lot of attention but maintained that no reliable source was 'leaking' this information.
“It’s unfortunate today, but there’s so much outside chatter that is not true,” Davis said. “It’s not coming from any sources. It’s not coming from anything. My basic thing is never to answer all that stuff because otherwise you get trapped in this black hole.”
The Raiders started this season with huge expectations after Antonio Pierce turned their season around and gave the team hope to compete with the right pieces. This campaign has been full of ups and downs, and the team is making changes, but the past two games have been a nightmare.
Maxx Crosby will likely push for a trade if they fail to compete.
