The Miami Dolphins, like all other teams, will keep November 1 in mind as an important date. That date has been set as the deadline for trades in the NFL this year.
By November 1, all teams must complete their trades. After that date, they will no longer be permitted to do so.
The Miami Dolphins are the top contenders this season and have a win-loss record of 4-3. They will be looking to upgrade their defensive options before the NFL trade deadline.

Let's look at the three players the Miami Dolphins could trade before the 2022 NFL trade deadline.
#3 - Johnathan Abram
One position the Miami Dolphins need to consider is safety. Dolphins star safety Brandon Jones has made it to the injured reserve list, and safety Clayton Fejedelem is questionable for the upcoming game.
Safety Eric Rowe could take the starting job next week. Rowe hasn't started in any games this season, and the Dolphins will need someone on the front with more experience.
The Las Vegas Raiders are willing to deal Johnathan Abram since they already have Duron Harmon and Tre'von Moehrig to fill his spot. Abram has appeared in six games for the team this season, totaling 40 tackles and two quarterback hits.
While Abram is not the greatest player in the league, the Dolphins may benefit from his expertise to enhance their roster.
#2 - Jerry Jeudy
The Denver Broncos have already begun getting requests to trade Jerry Jeudy, and if that is the case, the Dolphins should be the first to sign him. Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is uncertain due to an injury, and the Dolphins require a wide receiver to assist them in reaching the playoffs without mishaps.
Jeudy signed a four-year rookie contract with the Broncos and still has one year left on his deal. The Miami Dolphins are one of the likely NFL teams willing to offer him the starting wide receiver position. If they want to acquire him, Jeudy must exercise his fifth-year option, which keeps him under contract until 2024.
#1 - Steven Nelson
The Dolphins' defensive line is in grave danger, and all their cornerbacks are recovering from injuries. Xavien Howard, Kader Kohou, and Keion Crossen are questionable, while Trill Williams has been placed on injured reserve.
The Dolphins have a chance to make a trade and acquire Steven Nelson from the Houston Texans before the November 1 deadline. Nelson is playing his eighth season in the NFL and has started in 90 of the 104 games he has played in. He has defended 63 passes and has 370 tackles to his name.
Nelson would add depth to the Dolphins' defensive line and bring his expertise to the team, which could impact the second half of the 2022 NFL season.
