Micah Parsons, Ashton Jeanty and Saquon Barkley had three different weekends. Jeanty was most likely hard at work doing what he could to win over teams to maximize his draft stock. Barkley's Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Washington Commanders, sending him to his first Super Bowl.

Meanwhile, Parsons watched as half of his division competed for a Super Bowl spot after the Cowboys missed the playoffs.

Well, not just Parsons was forced to watch the NFC championship from the outside. His brother, Terrence Parsons Jr., also watched the contest. However, he couldn't get behind the idea of getting Jeanty to be the team's own Barkley.

On Sunday, he tweeted:

"Jeanty isn’t Saqoun I’m sorry yall have to stop doing this Saqoun is a rare breed of size speed and strength he can do what ever he wants out there run around you or thru you and the video game moves to go with it there’s nobody like him rn."

The Eagles uncorked a 55-23 win over Jayden Daniels' Commanders in the NFC championship game. As much success as Daniels had this season, it was not enough to overcome Saquon Barkley.

Exploring Ashton Jeanty's case to become Cowboys' answer to Saquon Barkley

The Dallas Cowboys haven't had a franchise running back star locked under a contract extending into the foreseeable future since the prime of Ezekiel Elliott's career. Adding Ashton Jeanty isn't a guarantee of bringing back those days, but Jeanty's history might lay the foundation for why he could.

Jeanty played for the Boise State Broncos from 2022-24. In those years, the majority of his yearly production numbers rose in a linear trajectory. He started with 821 yards, 5.3 yards per carry and seven touchdowns on the ground.

In 2023, his numbers increased, jumping to 1,347 yards, 6.1 yards per carry and 14 touchdowns. His rushing touchdown total doubled between 2022 and 2023. Then, in 2024, his rushing TDs and rushing yards doubled again.

He rushed for 2,601 yards, earning 7.0 yards per carry and 29 touchdowns on the ground. He played at least 12 games in all three years, proving he can be durable.

So, in the end, he showed that he can improve at a fast rate, has durability and has the ability to explode. Most agree it might be tougher to find a better running back prospect this season. Of course, Barkley has realized potential. Jeanty has a long way to go. However, will he prove Micah Parsons' brother wrong wherever he ends up? Additionally, will Jerry Jones ignore his recommendation?
