Micah Parsons could not hide his displeasure after the referees awarded an offensive holding call that wiped off a Bears touchdown against the Seahawks. On Thursday Night Football on Boxing Day, defenses were on top in the first half but Caleb Williams managed to create one moment of magic.
He rolled away from the pocket and threw the ball to Rome Odunze on the run. With the Seahawks taking an early lead, it could have been the perfect riposte from the Bears.
However, the referees decided to call it back for offensive holding. Upon looking at the replay, it did not look like the lineman had done much wrong against the pass rusher. However, the touchdown was still chalked off and Chicago lost 10 yards on the play instead of picking up six points.

Micah Parsons, who was clearly watching the game, seemed to disagree with the referees' call. He certainly felt that the NFL officials lacked consistency since he supposedly did not get such calls going his way. He posted on X/Twitter, lamenting,
"I never get those calls"
Referees rule out another Bears TD against Seahawks after irking Micah Parsons
The Bears fans were minded to agree with Micah Parsons as it stopped them from taking the lead against the Seahawks. However, any irritation would have turned to frustration in the second half after the referees again ruled out a touchdown after initially awarding it.
It came when Seattle was on offense, but the receiver fumbled the ball. The Chicago defense picked it up and returned it for a touchdown. Initially, the officials awarded it. However, on review, they saw that the defender was down by contact and called it back. It was still the Bears' ball, but the score remained 6-3.
Such decisions could have a big impact on the playoff picture. Chicago is already out of the playoff picture, along with Micah Parsons' Dallas Cowboys. However, Seattle is still fighting for the postseason and needed to win this game to keep their chances alive. With both offenses struggling on Thursday, the margins were thin and one worried a wrong call by the referees could influence who would win.
