Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons expressed his strong desire to remain with the team despite its disappointing 7-10 season that ended without a playoff berth. The three-time All-Pro defender emphasized his gratitude and commitment to the organization.

Parsons also joined the elite company of NFL Hall of Famers with his fourth consecutive season with double-digit sacks. He spoke to reporters following the Cowboys' 23-19 loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday.

The edge rusher shared his thoughts during a media session in Frisco, Texas. He discussed his future with the team and potential contract negotiations.

"I called upon the star," Parsons said. "I landed on it, and I'm grateful. I feel like I got one of the best jobs in America."

His statement carries extra weight considering his strong 2024 campaign. Despite missing four games with a high ankle sprain, Parsons recorded 12 sacks in 13 games. He joined Reggie White as the only player in NFL history to record at least a dozen sacks in each of their first four seasons.

Micah Parsons backed up his confidence with elite production. His 11 sacks and 49 quarterback pressures from Week 10 to the end of the season led the NFL, showcasing his impact even after returning from injury.

"I can't say there's three or four people better than me in this league," Pasons said to reporters on Sunday. "I miss four games and I put up the same numbers, as some of these guys who play all year," Parsons declared, positioning himself among the NFL's elite defenders.

Parsons has already scheduled a meeting with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones at the College Football Playoff semifinal to discuss his future.

"It's going to be great talking to the guy that believed in me first to see what the mission is and how we're going to accomplish and really make us happy, and make the fans happy," Parsons said.

As contract talks loom, Parsons' dedication to Dallas remains clear. His primary focus extends beyond personal gains as he wants to help build a championship roster. He expressed hope that his deal can also help retain key free agents and strengthen the team for years to come.
