Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons was watching the Kansas City Chiefs' Divisional Round game against the Houston Texans. And what he saw has made him rant about it.

Responding to a clip of Dave Portnoy complaining about linebacker Henry To'oTo'o being flagged for leading with the crown of the helmet while tackling quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Cowboys' multiple-time All-Pro and Pro Bowl linebacker refuted the Barstool Sports founder, saying:

"Refs do be on bull s**t but buddy literally lead with the crown of helmet!! This a flag 1on1"

Another person who was highly critical of the officiating was former Cowboys quarterback and current MNF analyst Troy Aikman, who claimed in a separate play that Mahomes was attempting to draw a penalty:

"I could not disagree with that one more."

The defending Super Bowl champions won the matchup 23-14 on the strength of Travis Kelce's 117 receiving yards and a touchdown on seven catches and the defense's eight sacks on CJ Stroud.

Pat Surtain II reacts to Texans penalty on tackle on Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes

There were a good number of instances of dubious officiating throughout the Chiefs-Texans game - from a roughing the passer call on Will Anderson Jr. on third down, which would have resulted in a punt had it been let slide but instead led to a a field goal on that drive to a missed hip-drop tackle.

Even the offense was not safe, with Xavier Hutchinson being ruled short of a first down on second-and-14 even though replay showed otherwise. They did get it on the next down despite a further penalty.

But the biggest one was the aforementioned Henry To’oTo’o tackle on Mahomes, which drew the ire many, including the aforementioned Dave Portnoy, Troy Aikman, ESPN rules analyst Russell Yurk, and Tee Higgins’ mother. They were also joined by Denver Broncos multiple-time All-Pro and Pro Bowl cornerback Pat Surtain II, who wrote on his social media:

“Cmon man what we supposed to do when he sliding”

That controversy eventually reached such a point that Clay Martin, one of the officials who handled the game, had to address it:

"I had forcible contact to the facemask area and so I went with roughing the passer on that play… When he slides, he is considered defenseless. The onus is on the defender. I had forcible contact there to the hairline, to the helmet.”

The Chiefs will the winner of Buffalo Bills-Baltimore Ravens next week in the AFC Championship game.
