Micah Parsons has blown the cobwebs off of the Cowboys' offseason after a teammate took issue with the pass rusher's podcast. The Dallas defender, who does a regular podcast, was accused by teammate Malik Hooker on another show of being distracted from winning because of his media ventures.

And Micah Parsons was not happy with that. He asked Malik Hooker why he had not said this to him directly instead of going on another podcast to say it. The pass rusher also pointed out that his teammate has his number and is his locker buddy.

Micah Parsons further defended himself by saying that he shoots the podcast on his day off. He then asked why it was just his preparations that were being put in focus and not everyone else's since he could have some comments about that, even if chose not to.

Writing in a since-deleted post on X, formerly known as Twitter,

"Just wish you said this to me but instead on some podcast! And you got my number family! @MalikHooker24 and you my locker mate! So you coulda said this any day! And you do realize I shoot the podcast on our off day! I why ain't we talking about everyone preparations and focus leading up to the game week? I mean I can point out a lot of other things but I'm just not!"

Were Malik Hooker's comments about Micah Parsons' podcast taken out of context?

One interesting thing about the whole thing is that, as strongly as Micah Parsons felt about Malik Hooker's comments, he has since taken them off social media. Maybe, he is taking the same advice about calling him up instead of getting into an argument on a public platform.

And talking about advice, one could argue that Malik Hooker was not trying to criticize Micah Parons' podcast. Rather, he began his answer by saying that his guidance to the defender would be to make sure that it does not become a distraction to the team's ultimate purpose of winning the Super Bowl.

One could say that a senior teammate was just looking out for someone three years his junior and giving some professional suggestions. But it did not sound that way to many people and came across as criticism.

Micah Parsons certainly looks to have taken it that way based on his now-deleted response. If winning the Super Bowl is the stated aim, then maintaining team harmony might be the first order of business.
