It seems Michael Jordan has made the leap into the NFL! Or so fans joked. on Monday, the Green Bay Packers announced that they were signing former Patriots offensive lineman Michael Jordan to their practice squad.

Jordan had played 12 games with the Pats this season, making 11 starts, before getting released on Nov. 26. He returned for the Pats' game against the Colts on Dec. 1 but was released again shortly thereafter.

He has played in 67 regular season games in his career and has started in 40. The team is hoping that with Jordan on the team, the O-line will get a bit more depth.

"MJ out of retirement! The 🐐"

Another fan joked that now that MJ was in the NFL, LeBron James would soon follow him into the football league as well.

"Lebron about to hop over to the NFL now to keep up with MJ"
"It’s over. We got MJ" one Packers fan rejoiced.

Other fans also chimed in with their hilarious reactions to the MJ news.

"Lebron better" another fan weighed in on the GOAT debate.

"YALL GOT YOURSELF THE GOAT" one fan commented.

Packers release T Spencer Rolland to make way for Michael Jordan

In a related roster move, the Green Bay Packers released tackle Spencer Rolland from the practice squad to make room for Michael Jordan. GM Brian Gutekunst announced the moves on Monday.

Gutekunst and Green Bay are familiar with Jordan, who spent last season in the Packers' practice squad, but he didn't appear in a regular-season game.

The Packers have been a little short in the interior of the O-Line after first-round pick Jordan Morgan went down with an injury in November. They have been playing tackle Kadeem Telfort behind starters, Elgton Jenkins and Sean Rhyan.

The Packers are 9-4 after a 34-31 loss to the Detroit Lions last Thursday. They will face the Seattle Seahawks next Sunday.
