Lamar Jackson is one of the biggest candidates for the MVP award. Along with Josh Allen, the quarterback is locked in a fierce battle. Whoever wins the award, it will be a fair fight, with Lamar having a golden opportunity to solidify his case in Week 18 as Allen will get himself a rest.
The final game of the season will put him against another superstar. Jackson and the Ravens will play the Cleveland Browns, who, although were eliminated a long time ago, still have Myles Garrett looking to win the Defensive Player of the Year award, and he'll play with a point to prove in Week 18.
On Thursday, Garrett was asked what's the best way to stop Lamar when they play against the Baltimore Ravens. Earlier in the season, he had a plan that proved successful. But now? He has no idea.

The Browns have struggled badly, with an inept offense and plenty of injuries around the roster. However, one of their three wins came against the Baltimore Ravens, when they produced a 29-24 upset against Lamar's team in late October. That was a season-high for the Ravens quarterback in sacks received (3), but Garrett did not hit him.
NFL MVP Discussion: Stats for Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen entering Week 18
Lamar has 67.9% of completed passes, 3,995 passing yards, 39 touchdowns and just four interceptions in 2024. Those are all career highs for him and there are still one game left to play this season. Allen, for his part, has 63.6% of completed passes, 3,731 passing yards, 28 touchdowns and just six interceptions.
Jackson is a two-time MVP, while Allen has never won the award. This could be an important thing to determine who will prevail, as voters could vote for the Bills quarterback with this being possibly the first time he wins it.
The betting odds put the Buffalo Bills quarterback ahead of his Baltimore Ravens counterpart with one week to go. However, the odds could change: the Bills already locked the No. 2 seed and will rest its starters, while the Ravens will play Lamar as they still haven't clinched the division.
