Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett is tied for the most sacks (14) with Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson heading into the last week of the 2024-25 regular season.

With a chance of becoming this year's NFL sack leader, and with a shot of being the Defensive Player of the Year again, Garrett has his eyes on something else this Sunday when his Browns face the Baltimore Ravens.

In a one-on-one interview posted on the Cleveland Browns' website, Garrett was asked how important it is to have the sack title for this season. He said he would rather defeat the Ravens and mess up their playoff hopes by giving them a lower seed with a loss on Saturday.

Garrett said:

"I mean, I’d rather upset them and mess up their playoff hopes. And if the sack title comes along with that, great. Definitely going to do what I can to be disruptive and take eight (Lamar Jackson) out of the game as much as possible. If that comes along with it, outstanding. But at the end of the day, I want to win.”

If the Ravens are victorious on Sunday, they will win the AFC North and clinch the No. 3 seed in the AFC. If they lose and if the Pittsburgh Steelers defeat the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday, the Ravens will get a Wild Card spot and would get either the fifth or sixth seed.

Myles Garrett said that Lamar Jackson is the hardest quarterback to sack in the NFL

Myles Garrett has sacked Lamar Jackson 5.5 times in his career. Jackson is one of the hardest quarterbacks to register a sack on, being one of the most dual-threat quarterbacks in the NFL. Garrett would agree with that take.

In the same one-on-one interview on the team's website, Garrett was asked if Jackson was the hardest quarterback to sack, with Garett saying yes without hesitating. He also put Patrick Mahomes in there as being one of the hardest quarterbacks to sack.

Myles Garrett said:

"Absolutely. It’s not even close. There are definitely some other special cats at the quarterback position who are shifty. I mean, Pat (Patrick Mahomes) himself, he has great contact balance, but, I mean, Lamar has that. But he also has speed, he has quickness, is shifty, so he has that tremendous running ability, and he can also throw the ball pretty much anywhere on the field right now.”

This Saturday, Myles Garrett and his Browns take on the Ravens at 4:30 p.m. ET in the first of two doubleheader games. The Steelers will then host the Bengals at 8:00 p.m.
