Tom Brady made his name on the gridiron on the back of stellar performances leading from hours upon hours of intense practices. Now, longtime NBC broadcaster Cris Collinsworth said Brady is also bringing the same intensity to his upcoming broadcasting job.

On Tuesday, Collinsworth appeared on the ‘Up & Adams Show’. He was asked about the level of intensity that the former New England Patriots QB will bring to his new job during their calls. Collinsworth said:

“As insane and as intense as he always is, and yes, he calls.”

Collinsworth outlined his calls with Tom Brady in the context of his upcoming broadcasting duties with Fox Sports.

“No, Tom is a great guy," said Collinsworth to Kay Adams. “He's gonna be brilliant. I mean, our whole life we've been trying to anticipate what Tom Brady was thinking when he came to the line of scrimmage, and God right, and now we're gonna hear it, right.
“And he's studying hard. He's working on it. He's done 1000 different practice games and I was like, ‘Tom, just be you. People know who you are. Just be you. Go on there and talk about football and have some fun.' He'll be great.”

After retiring from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brady signed the massive $375 million deal for 10 years with Fox Sports. After taking a break of one year from football, the seven-time Super Bowl winner will start his new career this season.

Cris Collinsworth’s advice to Tom Brady after the roast

The NBC analyst and Tom Brady do not just talk about football, as Collinsworth said to Kay Adams. He said Brady should’ve called him before agreeing to the roast, saying:

“He should’ve asked me about the roast. I would’ve said, ‘Stay away from that.' What is that all about? Holy cow. I can only watch that, and like 30-minute segments. I'm like, 'Oh my g**h, you got bombarded.'”

While the roast is behind him now, Brady has shown with his hard work that he has his eyes on the future. His first game in the booth will be the Denver Broncos vs Chicago Bears on September 9.
