The 1-5 New England Patriots went head-to-head against the 1-5 Jacksonville Jaguars during a rainy afternoon in London. Both teams desperately needed a win in this game, with the Jaguars under heightened pressure after the Week 6 loss to the Bears in London.

The Patriots wasted little time early on. JaMycal Hasty registered the Patriots' first TD off the opening drive with Drake Maye seeing through the blitz and playing the patient game to see the team through. This was the franchise's first TD off an opening drive all season.

There were more than a few penalties to delay the game after that first TD with neither team managing to secure any momentum at the end of the first quarter.

The Jaguars managed to respond in the second half when Trevor Lawrence capped off a 68-yard drive to Brian Thomas Jr. to put them on the board. The former No. 1 overall pick then turned things up a notch, launching a 58-yard bomb for rookie Brian Thomas Jr. in what was a huge gain. Interestingly, the Jags WR leads all rookies in receiving yards in Week 7.

That drive led to the Jaguars' second score and first lead of the day after a Tank Bigsby touchdown. Parker Washington then went 97 yards on a punt return (the longest in franchise history), racking up the Jaguars’ third TD with a two-point conversion, threatening to pull away from the Patriots to wrap up the second quarter with a 22-10 lead.

A bunch of penalties and incompletions prevented both teams from scoring throughout most of the fourth quarter before Lawrence's handoff gave Bigsby his second touchdown of the day, wrapping up an eventful night for this Jaguars offense that ended in a 32-16 win.

The running back registered a career-high of 26 rushing attempts for 118 yards and two scores in London, breathing some life into the Jaguars' playoff hopes. Had Jacksonville slipped to a 1-6 record this afternoon, the franchise would be all but guaranteed to miss the playoffs.
