Since 2018, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have had some close calls and dark moments but they have always finished near the top of the conference. On Monday's edition of "Pro Football Talk," NFL analyst Mike Florio compared their performance to a superhero movie experience.

"The Chiefs always make it exciting," Florio said. "You know that Batman isn't going to die, but it's fun to watch the movie where Batman almost dies 20 different times. That's what makes the Chiefs so much fun to watch even though it feels like there's an inevitability that they're going to win it all."

Florio reminded fans that the quarterback's worst season as a starter saw him lose in the AFC Championship game, mere minutes from a Super Bowl. Those losses came just twice.

Mahomes lost to Tom Brady in his first starting season and then to Joe Burrow in 2021. Aside from that, Mahomes has reached the Super Bowl every year since he took over from Alex Smith.

If Patrick Mahomes is Batman, who could be 3x Super Bowl champ's Joker?

The quarterback sensation has been compared to being an A-list superhero. However, who could be Patrick Mahomes' biggest villain? Assuming one runs off of the Arkham video games or "The Dark Knight," in which the Joker always loses, the answer is Josh Allen, who is 0-3 against the Chiefs QB in the playoffs.

While Allen might win early in the season ahead of the playoffs, Mahomes has been perfect at getting the last laugh.

While Joe Burrow and Tom Brady rank highly on the list, Mahomes might be the Joker to their Batman. Both Brady and Burrow have beaten Mahomes to end his season, doing the equivalent of beating Batman in the ending of a movie or video game.

However, if Mahomes is Batman in the analogy, then his biggest rival that he always beats is Josh Allen, regardless of what the Bills' playoff chances were at the start of the year. Until Allen can be the one to end the Chiefs' season, Mahomes owns the title.

With the Bills rebuilding on offense, the wait might be longer than between two Batman movies. Will Mahomes ever slip into a Joker role?
