Amari Cooper and Davante Adams' lives will be much different this Sunday than they were last Sunday. Both wide receivers have been moved to new teams in what some may see as an extension of their Week 6 Monday Night Football matchup spilling into Tuesday.
With the Bills getting Amari Cooper and the Jets getting Davante Adams, the next stage in the story is which team won the punch of trades for the wide receivers.
Speaking on an October 16 edition of "Pro Football Talk," NFL analyst Michael Holley shared his pick.

"I gotta admit, Davante Adams to the Jets [was better]. It's because it's Davante Adams. You've got a top-five wide receiver who's played with Aaron Rodgers before adding to a group that already has Garrett Wilson," Holley said. PFT
Amari Cooper's addition to the Bills pairs him with a slew of wide receivers who arguably have taken turns as the de facto top wide receiver.
Adams' addition pairs him with Garrett Wilson, who is already the team's top wide receiver. The Jets now have two No. 1 wide receivers in comparison to the Bills' single top receiver.
Bills and Jets receive similar short-term boosts with addition of Davante Adams and Amari Cooper
Davante Adams and Amari Cooper are both on the wrong side of 30. Whether it is due to injury, a loss of interest, or a combination of both, Adams and Cooper are closer to the end of their careers than the beginning.
According to Stat Muse, the oldest wide receiver in the league is Adam Thielen at 34 years old. The second oldest is a multi-way tie at 32 years old. In simple words, the vast majority of receivers don't stick around for long past 30.
That said, receivers like Larry Fitzgerald have stuck around, but the odds of getting such a run are objectively remote for the Bills and Jets.
In 2024, both moves have a reason for celebration. However, in 2025 and beyond, both receivers have no guarantees of sticking around in the league.
