NFL analyst predicts Tom Brady will do 'everything he can' to get 54-win candidate as Raiders head coach

Tom Brady's primary job is to watch and analyze teams as they attempt to win the Super Bowl. However, as a minority Las Vegas Raiders owner, the former quarterback also has an incentive to see his team get to the big game.

Working off that assumption, NFL analyst Mike Florio predicted the part Fox commentator-part minority owner to get personally involved in the race for former Bill Belichick disciple Mike Vrabel. Vrabel won 54 games in his career in six seasons with the Tennessee Titans.

"I think Tom Brady's going to do everything he can to get him to Las Vegas if Mark Davis decides to move on from Antonio Pierce," Florio said on Pro Football Talk. [02:02]

Bringing Mike Vrabel aboard would mean moving on from Antonio Pierce and based on Florio's comments, he expects the owner to take the lion's share in that decision.

Many are hoping to see the Raiders move away from "The Patriot Way" after back-to-back head coaches Josh McDaniels and Antonio Pierce, and adding Vrabel would continue that trend. That said, even if the overall shape of their coaching systems has its differences from Bill Belichick, there are still small teachings and lessons throughout.

As such, with Brady also in the ear of Mark Davis, the Patriots' philosophy lives on in Sin City.

Exploring potential landing spots for Antonio Pierce if Raiders tenure ends

The Las Vegas Raiders head coach had an impressive two-month start to his NFL career, but it has been downhill ever since. As such, his odds of getting a head coaching job in 2025 appear slim.

However, as a defensive-minded coach who has done it all for a full season, he brings value to any number of teams as a coordinator. One potential landing spot could be the New England Patriots.

Robert Kraft has no reason to believe that Jerod Mayo is the long-term solution based on 2024. If he wants someone on the staff with experience in how to win as an interim head coach should Mayo lose his job in 2025, Piece presents as a strong option.

Aside from that, Pierce likely has a shot to end up working under any of the new coaching staffs currently under construction. This means he could end up with the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, or any other team that pulls the trigger on rebuilding their coaching room this offseason.
