Tom Brady is on deck for a handful more broadcasts and his rookie season as a broadcaster will be in the books. After the conclusion of the season, attention turns to how the quarterback will get ready for 2025.

However, in 2024, Brady was slapped with a list of rules restricting what he could do to prepare for the broadcast. Most assumed those restrictions were unwelcome by Brady.

Speaking on Friday's edition of "Pro Football Talk," NFL analyst Mike Florio claimed that there was a question of whether Brady actually viewed them as a net positive (4:51):

"At one point I heard from a team that was suspicious of whether or not Tom Brady is troubled by the restrictions that are placed upon him. No production meetings, no practice, no entering team facilities. They got a vibe that he really didn't want to be bothered with that anyway.
"'I have less time to spend preparing. I got a lot of stuff to do.' Like the guy works hard, but he's working on a lot of different things. Nobody's saying he's sitting around on the couch eating pork rinds. He's busting his a**, but there's only so many hours in the day."

Brady is juggling the FOX broadcasting job as well as working as a part-time minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. According to CBS Sports, Brady also is a part owner of the Las Vegas Aces. He also is a part-owner of the Birmingham City soccer team, per ESPN.

Tom Brady's Raiders involvement serves as potential chance to continue Patrick Mahomes rivalry

While Tom Brady has hung up his cleats for the final time, his involvement in the NFL is far from over. In fact, the former quarterback might be more involved than he ever has. If his involvement with the Las Vegas Raiders is as big as is rumored, his goal would be to make the team win as much as possible.

That would include an eventual goal of stopping Patrick Mahomes in his tracks twice per season and ripping the AFC West crown away every year. Brady is done throwing passes, but he now has a potential direct impact on whether Mahomes supplants Brady's Super Bowl example with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

If the Raiders keep Patrick Mahomes relegated to Wild Card seeding in the playoffs every year or even just a few times, it might be the difference between Mahomes supplanting Brady's career accomplishments or falling short.

Tom Brady is in a position to potentially directly keep Mahomes from beating his legacy, but how far will Brady go and could he pull it off even if he isn't the one slinging passes himself?
