Tom Brady and Robert Kraft worked together for decades. More accurately, Brady worked for Kraft. Now as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, Brady works against Kraft. With the Raiders and Patriots housed in the AFC, the path to the Super Bowl means one of the teams beating the other in record or the playoffs.
Speaking on a Wednesday's edition of "Pro Football Talk," NFL analyst Mike Florio spotlighted that Brady could be working in a direct race with Kraft's Patriots for Mike Vrabel. The New England Patriots potentially stubbed their toe by waiting on Jerod Mayo, but Brady might be the biggest adversary.
"The fact that they didn't move quickly, as quickly as the Patriots might put them at a disadvantage if Tom Brady is already whispering into Mark Davis' ear that he'd like his former teammate, Mike Vrabel, to be the head coach," Florio said (05:11).

That was the vibe in league circles last half of the season that Mike Vrabel to the Raiders makes sense because Brady will want him there."
Vrabel still remains available, although the pressure is mounting on teams to start narrowing down their searches. Vrabel could also end up with the New York Jets, Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints or New England Patriots, per Adam Schefter via Yahoo Sports.
Exploring whether Mike Vrabel should join Tom Brady or Robert Kraft
Tom Brady's team and Robert Kraft's Patriots are just two of the several organizations in line for Mike Vrabel. While he might end up elsewhere, there's an equal probability that he could work for one or the other.
Tom Brady's Las Vegas Raiders might be the better option for Vrabel as they have demonstrated more patience recently with their head coaches. The Raiders handed Jon Gruden a ten-year deal and allowed him to work up until his resignation. The Raiders also gave more than one season to Josh McDaniels.
Meanwhile, Kraft and Belichick split following the coach's first sub-five-win season in his Patriots career. Mayo was then fired after one season without improvement. If Vrabel wants more time to implement his plan, history shows that the Raiders will give him that.
Plus, the team would allow Vrabel to at least have a say in his quarterback. Of course, many personal factors play into Vrabel's decision. Where will the coach sign up?
