Once again, Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts will square off in the biggest game in American sports. The quarterbacks will once again play for the right to hoist the Lombardi Trophy in New Orleans in the league's first quarterback rematch in quite some time.
While the Chiefs faced Kyle Shanahan's 49ers twice, the starting quarterbacks of each matchup were different. Jimmy Garoppolo led the team in the first and Brock Purdy in the second.
Still, the Chiefs will be one of the focal points of another Super Bowl, and NFL analyst Mike Florio is "sick" of it. On Monday's edition of "Pro Football Talk," Florio said:
[00:05:47] "It's not hate. We get sick of things. Are you really thrilled about going to New Orleans to cover a Super Bowl featuring the two teams we just covered? It's taken me a lot to get there. The three-peat helps. ...

"I want a great matchup. I want a great game. It's just nice to have different [teams]. I like to have different personalities. It's nice to have different teams. It's nice to have different storylines. It's nice to have variety. You got 32 teams. Why does it have to be the same two, two out of three years?"
The last time Mahomes faced Hurts, the Eagles surrendered a 27-21 lead going into the fourth quarter, losing 38-35. Hurts will be looking to avoid a similar repeat in his make-up chance against the same quarterback.
Exploring why this upcoming Patrick Mahomes-Jalen Hurts rematch will feel different
The same two franchises will be duking it out for the second time in three years, but the makeup of both teams will be quite different. This time, the Eagles have Saquon Barkley, a Vic Fangio-led defense and Quinyon Mitchell, a Defensive Rookie of the Year contender.
Patrick Mahomes' Chiefs, meanwhile, will have a reloaded wide receiver room with DeAndre Hopkins and Hollywood Brown.
Aside from players, the ones that are returning are in a different phase. The young Eagles are much more experienced in the playoffs, having already played in a Super Bowl. The pressure will most likely feel different.
The Chiefs, meanwhile, are older than the last time they faced the Eagles. Travis Kelce is much deeper into his 30s and seemingly could retire at any point. Having already been to the big game so many times, Andy Reid has plenty of reason to let his foot off the gas at any moment.
It was the Eagles' loss against Mahomes that kick-started the three-peat run. Could they also be the ones to end it?
