The Chicago Bears are looking for some help on the offensive side of the football in the 2025 NFL draft after a lackluster rookie season from quarterback Caleb Williams. The Bears had a tumultuous season themselves, finishing 5-12 on the season and having the 10th pick in the draft.

While there are a few different options that that general manager Ryan Poles and new coach Ben Johnson can go, ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. released his first mock draft, which has the Bears selecting LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell.

This selection would help the Bears out as he has a massive 6-foot-6, 323-pound frame and the offensive line was one of the biggest weaknesses in 2024. In 2024, Williams was sacked 68 times, the most for a quarterback since David Carr was sacked the same number of times with the Houston Texans in 2005.

The Bears must figure out how to build their offensive line around left tackle Braxton Jones and right tackle Darnell Wright, who are the only two starting offensive lineman under contract, while the three interior offensive linemen are all unrestricted free agents.

How did Will Campbell do in LSU this season?

Will Campbell was a major force for the LSU Tigers this season at the left tackle position. He was on the field for 866 total snaps and allowed two sacks, five quarterback hits and 11 hurries. In addition, he was only penalized nine times, with only one game being penalized more than once.

If Campbell is picked by the Bears, this will help Caleb Williams out in the long run. With the weapons at the disposal of coach Ben Johnson, getting the offensive tackle right is critical.

Campbell has shown to be an elite pass-blocking offensive tackle and in the NFC North with some tough edge threats, making sure Wiliams can stay upright.
