The Indianapolis Colts have announced another decision about quarterback Anthony Richardson. After making the decision to gow ith veteran Joe Flacco, Richardson will once again be the starting quarterback in Week 11 for the Colts.

The news of the Colts' decision was greeted with many opinions on X. Flacco, a former Super Bowl-winning quarterback, was expected to mentor and guide Richardson as he continues to mature as an NFL quarterback.

After the Week 8 loss to the Houston Texans, the Colts made the decision to bench Richardson in favor of Flacco after a lackluster performance. He also took himself out of the game at one point, telling coaches he needed to catch his breath. That move left some fans questioning Richardson's committment to the team.

Some fans on X predicted the Colts would soon be making a change in head coach next.

"Send Joe Flacco somewhere he can be appreciated," one fan said.
"We can only assume the Colts will be looking for a new HC before next season…" one fan predicted.
"Colts are broken," declared one fan.

Some fans joked that two weeks was enough time for Richardson to learn from Flacco. Another said that the Colts' 2024 NFL season has officially become a "disaster" as the quarterback carousel continues.

"what a disaster," said one person on X.
"Hope he worked on cardio so he doesn't get tired again!" another said.
"AR learned so much in 2 weeks. Flacco might be the greatest teacher ever," joked another.

Colts head coach Shane Steichen spoke about decision to start QB Anthony Richardson

The Indianapolis Colts have had back-to-back losses against the Minnesota Vikings and the Buffalo Bills with Joe Flacco as the starting quarterback. The Colts said they had benched Anthony Richardson because of the issues he had with attention to details in his preparation each week.

Colts head coach Shane Steichen told reporters on Wednesday that the quarterback had made "strides" in his preparation, so much so that they felt comfortable in starting him again.

“It's the attention to detail in everything he does. It's got to be a higher standard. Over the last two weeks, he's made strides in those areas," said Steichen.

Steichen then said that he spoke with general manager Chris Ballard and team owner Jim Irsay about his decision.

“I talked to Jim, I talked to Chris. But ultimately, this was my decision.”

Ahead of being benched, Anthony Richardson completed just 44% of his passes thus far. He has thrown for 958 yards and four touchdowns along with seven interceptions.
