With the Washington Commanders trailing the Philadelphia Eagles 21–14 right before the first half ended, rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels threw a costly interception to Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson.
The interception took away a chance of the Commanders tying the Eagles at halftime after Daniels threw a touchdown pass to wide receiver Terry McLaurin earlier in the quarter.
The interception wasn't much of Daniels' fault, as the pass was tipped by a Commanders wide receiver into Johnson's hands. Still, Commanders fans weren't having it, with some pointing the finger at Daniels.

"Jayden Daniels killing me," a fan tweeted.
"Jayden Daniels has come back down to earth after the fast start he had to his rookie season. And shows exactly why NFL media should have waited before already crowning him as a top 5 QB in the NFL," a fan tweeted.
While some fans were upset with how Daniels has been playing, including the interceptions he threw, many came to his defense.
"I mean I’m just gonna be sick if anyone tries to blame this game on Jayden Daniels. He’s doing everyhing he can. 3 lost fumbles from his offensive weapons. Yeah he had one INT, who cares. Didn’t lead to any points ... Why can’t we just hold onto the football man," a fan tweeted.
"I see we’ve reached the denial phase blaming the refs. This fanbase man. Love you guys but this team might be the most fraudulent Washington nine win team in decades. Without Jayden Daniels it’s probably a five win team," a fan tweeted.
The Washington Commanders are making a comeback against the Philadelphia Eagles
After the Philadelphia Eagles went up 27–14 in the third quarter after scoring a few field goals, the Washington Commanders made it a game.
Daniels has made up for his first-half mistake, throwing two fourth-quarter touchdown passes to wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus, to give the Commanders a 28–27 lead with 9:06 left in the game.
With 9:01 left, this game is coming down to the wire with playoff seedings on the line.
The Eagles are looking to improve to 13-2 as the Commanders are looking to improve to 10-5.
