Mark Andrews has been the one player Lamar Jackson has depended on over the years for the Ravens. His importance has diminished a bit ever since Zay Flowers joined the team and Derrick Henry gave the offense another dimension after joining this offseason.
However, fans were not charitable after the veteran tight end made a costly mistake in the Divisional Round against the Bills. The Ravens had climbed out of a hole at halftime, when they were down 21-10, to come back and make it a 24-19 game in the fourth quarter.
Baltimore had the ball and could have taken the lead with a touchdown for the first time since their opening drive. Lamar Jackson thought he had a first down when Mark Andrews caught the ball. However, the tight end felt that he needed to get some more yards after catch only to end up fumbling the ball as Buffalo defender Terrel Bernard knocked it away and then recovered it.

Mark Andrews fumble draws comparison to Ravens' 2023 season mistake by Zay Flowers
The Ravens have had a terrible time in recent years in the postseason. One example of that was last year when Zay Flowers could have got a first-and-goal but fumbled the ball for a touchback as he tried to do something extra to get a touchdown. It proved to be a turning point in the AFC Championship game last year.
This year it was their tight end and the Ravens lost 27-25. The Bills will play the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game in 2024.
