The Kansas City Chiefs are reuniting with running back Kareem Hunt, having signed him to their practice squad on Tuesday. This move comes after running back Isiah Pacheco suffered a fractured fibula in Sunday's Week 2 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Chiefs originally drafted Hunt in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft but parted ways with him during the 2018 NFL season after a video surfaced showing him hitting and kicking a woman. Following his release from Kansas City in November 2018, Hunt signed with the Cleveland Browns the following season and served an eight-game suspension.
After NFL Network's insider Ian Rapoport reported the news, fans shared their thoughts on the signing. While it was clear that Kansas City would need to sign a running back following Pacheco's injury, many fans did not see Kareem Hunt as the top choice among available free agents.

Others mentioned the fact that Kansas City released Kareem Hunt due to those allegations and yet still re-signed him. Others wondered how much production he would be able to give the Chiefs offense.
"Nothing like getting rid of him for PR purposes then bringing him back," one fan said.
"Oh s*** here we go again," another fan said.
Hunt has spent the last five seasons with the Cleveland Browns, in 15 games last season he rushed for 411 yards and nine touchdowns.
"Lets see if he has anything left in the tank," another fan said.
"Who would've thought we'd see this day again...#ChiefsKingdom," one fan said.
How long will Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco be out?
Running back Isiah Pacheco was seen limping off the field on Sunday afternoon. The key player for Kansas City's offense was later observed leaving Arrowhead Stadium on crutches with a boot on his foot.
On Monday afternoon, it was revealed that Pacheco will miss six to eight weeks with a fractured fibula.
So far this season, Pacheco has recorded 34 rushes for a total of 135 yards. Last season, he rushed for 935 yards and seven touchdowns in 14 games, so replacing him will be a significant challenge for Kansas City's offense.
