The Dallas Cowboys are dubbed "America's Team" and have been one of the most popular sports teams for many years. Last September, Forbes valued the franchise at $9 billion. This year, they've made history, becoming the first sports franchise to surpass the $10 billion valuation.

Upon learning that Dallas is still the most valuable franchise, many fans were in awe of the achievement while also pointing out that's all that owner Jerry Jones and his family care about: wealth over winning.

"Money Laundering Front," one person said.
"This family is only about increasing their wealth and not about winning championships for the franchise," one person tweeted.
"This is exactly why the Jones family doesn’t care about winning, paying players, or signing free agents. This is their bottom line. They keep their positions in the front office to control the teams spending… making sure no extra money is going out and staying in their pocket," one person said.

While some fans pointed out that the Dallas Cowboys front brass cares more about their net value than winning championships, some fans called Jones out for not signing his players.

Both Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb are seeking contract extensions. Fans called them out for being the richest franchise but for being unable to sign their core players.

Here's how other fans reacted:

"And he’s in no rush to pay Lamb?" one fan questoned.
"Too bad they can’t afford to pay their players," another fan said.

Next year's list will likely feature the Cowboys coming in at number one again. The Dallas Cowboys haven't won a Super Bowl since Jan. 28, 1996, when quarterback Dak Prescott was 2.5 years old.

Still, the Cowboys' failure to add another Lombardi Trophy hasn't decreased their value as a franchise, even if fans think otherwise.
