"I'll pass": NFL fans cringe over trailer of Chiefs' new Hallmark movie inspired from Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift romance

Hallmark has released the first official trailer of 'Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story,' a movie inspired by the romance of power couple Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. However, the response from fans hasn't been very positive. If anything, fans find the trailer cringe.

As part of the team's 'World's Largest Tailgate event,' Chiefs released the trailer of the movie on Thursday. Fans didn't hold themselves back in sharing their criticism of the film. A fan, sharing his review on the trailer, said:

"I'll pass."

"Hard pass," commented a fan.

"Why do these movies have the same storyline? They should let me write one!" called out a fan.

"Omg - the existence of this movie makes me want to hide under my desk."

Many fans went ahead and targeted the Chiefs with their comments. Taking shots at Chiefs for the movie, a fan commented:

"The most annoying team in football."

"The only NFL team to get a crappy Hallmark movie because of Tay Tay," another fan said.

"This made me cringe. Who tf in the NFL let this dumb this happen?" said a fan.

"I want to throw up," a fan wrote.

The movie features Hunter King and Tyler Hynes, who are playing characters inspired by Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. Apart from them, Kelce's mom Donna is also making her acting debut with this movie.

Chiefs' new movie to feature Travis Kelce's mom Donna

Travis Kelce's mom Donna is playing the role of a manager at a BBQ restaurant named Norma & Nic's. Interestingly, the character that Donna played in 'Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story' is also named 'Donna.' In the trailer, there's a scene where she appears wearing Travis Kelce's jersey with her nametag on it.

Apart from fans, Kansas City Chiefs president Mark Donovan has also shared his take on the new movie trailer. According to PEOPLE, Donovan said:

"We are extremely grateful for the entire Hallmark team and the unique hometown partnership that’s been created around our two brands and this movie. With the excitement of the start of the football season, and the holiday season on the horizon.

"There is no better way to highlight this partnership and announce the premiere date than to leverage one of Kansas City’s biggest parties – Chiefs gameday," Donovan concluded.

'Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story' is all set to premiere on November 30. Since it's based on the romance between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, fans might get to see the NFL's favorite couple on the premiere night.
