Lamar Jackson is vying for one of the more impressive feats one can achieve in the NFL: Consecutive MVP awards. After his showing on Christmas, a few fans think he has done enough to do so.

On Wednesday against the Houston Texans, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback put on a commanding performance with 10-of-15 passes completed for 168 yards and two touchdowns. He also made history when he surpassed Michael Vick for the most rushing yards by a quarterback ever, doing so on a six-yard run in the third quarter.

There was much celebration from fans online afterward:

Lamar Jackson, John Harbaugh react to QB’s historic performance vs. Texans

After the victory, Lamar Jackson spoke with reporters in the locker room. The first thing that was discussed was surpassing Michael Vick and breaking the all-time quarterback rushing record. He said:

"That’s a record that’s been forever for a long time, and Michael Vick (is) one of my favorite players."

He also joked about setting a personal best for top speed, when he hit 21.25 mph on his 48-yard touchdown rush in the third quarter:

"I was jogging. I didn't do anything."

The win was, however, now without blemish. The only points the Ravens conceded all day long came in the second quarter, when rookie cornerback Kamari Lassiter tackled star running back Derrick Henry in the endzone for a safety.

Jackson apologized to the defense for ruining what would have been a shutout:

"They've been playing lights out the last few games. I believe it started in practice for those guys, just communicating and preparing for the games. Like I said, I'm sorry for the two points."

Meanwhile, head coach John Harbaugh praised Jackson for his quarterbacking and his historic outing:

"What could you say that would parallel what he did? It’s just another phenomenal performance… I told him I was proud of him, not just because he makes great plays, but for all the things that go into making the great plays."

Lamar Jackson and the Ravens will end their season against the Cleveland Browns. Broadcast details will be revealed at the end of the current game week.
