Tom Brady's role as the minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders has never been truly defined. The seven-time Super Bowl winning quarterback was officially approved to join Las Vegas' ownership group earlier in the 2024 NFL season.

After a 4-13 record this season, Las Vegas parted ways with head coach Antonio Pierce. Rumors have circulated that Brady will be the deciding factor on who will coach the Raiders next. Skip Bayless shared his feelings about the situation on X:

"Tom Brady is about take further control of the Las Vegas Raiders. Many times the greatest players do not prove to be great team-builders. See GM Michael Jordan, GM John Elway picking QBs. Here's hoping Tom Brady is as great as an owner/exec as he was as the GOAT."

NFL fans on X disagreed with Bayless.

Some fans were also quick to correct Bayless' opinion on former NFL quarterback John Elway. The latter may no longer be the general manager of the Denver Broncos but, during his tenure, he did sign Peyton Manning which led to a Super Bowl victory.

Another fan noted that Tom Brady helped add key pieces to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers team that won Super Bowl LV, which included convincing Rob Gronkowski to come out of retirement.

"It’s only up from here @Raiders Been at the bottom for over 20 straight years," one fan on X said
"Elway built a superbowl winner. I would never say he wasn’t successful as a gm," one fan who disagreed with Bayless said
"Tom basically said, “I don’t need Bill to win a super bowl”; left, and then built his own team and won in the first year lmao. I trust him more than most of these GMs lmao," one person on X said about Brady

Some on X agreed with Skip Bayless and didn't know how Brady's success as a quarterback would play a role in the Las Vegas Raiders' decision-making.

"Skip you are correct sir," said one fan who did agree with Bayless.
"Not the biggest TB fan but I'm rooting for him to be the best now," said one person on X.
"I’ve been saying this since Brady got ownership stake. I’ll take a wait n see approach but I’m not gon be blindly optimistic bc history has shown the GOAT players to be horrible execs," said another.

Dan Patrick predicts Tom Brady will leave FOX Sports for Raiders role

Tom Brady is in his first season as a broadcaster with FOX Sports, calling the "Game of the Week" each Sunday. Longtime radio host Dan Patrick predicted the former NFL quarterback could leave his role at FOX.

“I just see Brady as a one-and-done," Patrick said on The Dan Patrick Show. "He does the Super Bowl, and he decides he’s going to be more involved with the Raiders. I just don’t see Tom sort of one foot in and one foot out with the Raiders. He’s too much of a competitor.
"And it’s one thing, you can compete in this business, like I compete with myself every day. We compete with ourselves each day, but this is different."

Patrick doesn't see Brady as the type of person who would have little involvement with the Raiders. Rather he sees Brady as someone who is always "all in" and with the two roles he currently has, he can't do that.
