The Houston Texans and the New York Jets kicked off the Week 9 of the NFL season. The game was close throughout the first half, but NFL fans all around the world were disappointed to see a big number of injuries happening in the first quarter.
Another notable moment happened in the very first play of the second quarter. Rookie wide receiver Malachi Corley ran an end around and had a free way to the end zone, but just before he crossed the line, he dropped the football in a bizarre fumble. As such, the game remained 0-0.
The first touchdown only came late in the second quarter, three minutes before the end of the half. By that point, NFL fans

"What is on Joe Mixon’s jersey?? Looks like he is getting in the Halloween spirit with some spooky runs and avoiding fumbles", said one.
"The Jets are like that team the Harlem Globetrotters always beat", joked another.
"Ironic that Mixon scores a TD after a guy fumbles by celebrating too early. Mixon did the exact same thing Corley just did in college", referencing the aforementioned play.
This served as a wake-up call for New York, however. After they allowed the first touchdown of the game, they came swinging right out the gate in the second half, scoring three touchdowns to make it 21-10.
Jets snapped a five-game losing streak with win over Texans
After many disappointing losses, a head coach change and a trade for Davante Adams, the Jets finally returned to their winning ways. They were able to play great in the second half, and with three touchdown passes from Aaron Rodgers, New York snapped its losing streak.
Rodgers finished the game with 22 completions out of 32 attempts and 211 yards. Both Davante Adams and Garrett Wilson had at least 90 receiving yards, and Wilson also made one of the best catches of the season.
The disadvantage to the Buffalo Bills, who are sitting at the top of the AFC East with a 6-2 record, is huge. But this win and subsequent games against the Arizona Cardinals and the Indianapolis Colts could see the team with a 5-6 record before the bye week.
