NFL fans divided over Travis Kelce nearly scoring TD after 49-yard reception - "That dude looks so slow," "Old man still got it"

Travis Kelce and the Chiefs have made it a habit to bring their best form in time for the playoffs and the tight end proved that it is no different this year. He finished with 823 yards in the regular season, far away from reaching the 1000-yard threshold that he regularly seemed to breach in years gone by.

He had three touchdowns all regular season and a single game where he reached 100 yards. Yet, he picked up 49 yards on a crucial first-half play that set up a first-and-goal, which the Chiefs ended up eventually converting to take a 10-point lead. Travis Kelce was not particularly fast in picking up yards after the catch but used all his nous and experience to avoid tackles.

Travis Kelce reminded everyone why he is one of the greatest tight ends of the game. By the fourth quarter, he had 113 yards and one touchdown on five catches. It was his best outing for the entire season with more than ten minutes still remaining in the game. That was the only receiving touchdown by Kansas City until that point.

He repeatedly got open and his connection with Patrick Mahomes was evident. There would be times when he would just stop and allow his quarterback to find him when he was under pressure. It allowed the Chiefs to keep the downs coming and keep moving the chains. Eventually, the pressure told and Travis Kelce was there in the endzone to catch a phenomenal pass from his quarterback, to send the Kansas City fans and Taylor Swift into a frenzy.
