Things have gone from bad to worse for Buffalo Bills fans. After a loss to division rivals the New York Jets, reports now suggest that quarterback Josh Allen is being evaluated for an injury to his ulnar collateral ligament (elbow).
The news was first reported by NFL insider Chris Mortensen, who added that Bills HC Sean McDermott hopes to have more information by Tuesday.

However, there were some who felt the quarterback had it coming given his tendency to run the ball:
Allen is believed to have picked up the injury while attempting a last-minute comeback against the Jets. During the play, the QB dropped back to pass and came under pressure while throwing the ball. After Jets edge rusher Bryce Huff proceeded to strip-sack Allen, the Bills player could be seen shaking and flexing his arm with some discomfort.
The severity of Allen's elbow injury is currently unknown. But if there is indeed damage to the QB's UCL, then the team's physios and coaches might have to take a tough call.
Josh Allen complains of "slight pain" in elbow ahead of Bills' clash against Vikings
While the world waits on reports of Josh Allen's injury, the quarterback himself was seen briefing the media about the same on Monday. Speaking after Sunday’s 20-17 loss at MetLife Stadium, Allen said that he was feeling “slight pain” in his elbow.
Buffalo will play the Minnesota Vikings next, who are in red-hot form. Winning all six of their last games, the side is looking sure to make a deep run in the playoffs.
Led by Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson, Allen's contribution will be pivotal in Week 10 against the Vikings. They need him to play in order to realize their ambitions of clinching the number-one AFC seed.
We will have to wait for more information on the superstar quarterback's injury before determining the ramifications for Buffalo.
