Will Levis has been the Tennessee Titans' starting quarterback for less than a full season. And yet, in that short span, he may have already established himself as one of the most disappointing players in recent NFL history.
Against the Miami Dolphins on Monday night, the sophomore threw his sixth interception of the 2024 season. He sent a pass meant for DeAndre Hopkins into linebacker Emmanuel Ogbah, who pinned the ball between his legs to secure possession:
Immediately, there was much mockery:

"Will Levis is generational a*s LMAO"
"CFL is calling," another fan joked.
"Levis is the worst QB in the NFL," one fan proclaimed.
More of the taunts can be seen below:
"How long till Rudolph comes in?" one asked, referencing backup Mason Rudolph.
"Does Will even look who he's throwing to before throwing?" another wondered.
"Will Levis feeding families with turnovers," another joked.
Levis was later taken off the field with an apparent shoulder injury.
The Titans would eventually score in the second quarter via a 53-yard field goal by Nick Folk.
NFL Analyst thinks Titans should stick with Will Levis despite 2024 struggles
There is a damning stat about Will Levis in 2024: in each of the first three games, he has had at least an interception and a lost fumble - part of his eight total turnovers. He has also been sacked 15 times and lost a league-high 101 yards because of them
Normally, that would mean calls to bench him for Mason Rudolph, who joined the team after a long stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers. But for FOX Sports’ Ben Arthur, coaching, management, and ownership will not benefit from ditching their 2023 second-round pick:
“If the goal is to find out if he can be your franchise quarterback, you give him the full year as a showcase. If the turnover issue persists, he can play you into a top draft pick that can potentially be used to take a quarterback in 2025.”
But not even tanking for a top pick may guarantee them a prime opportunity to draft, say, one of Carson Beck and Shedeur Sanders. And that means the priority must be building the ideal roster around Levis.
Arthur adds that it's still early in the season, one that sees the Titans under a new head coach with a new system. Levis and the team need an opportunity to learn the scheme before making any major changes.
Aside from Levis and Rudolph, there are no other quarterbacks on the Tennessee roster, thanks to Malik Willis’ trade to the Green Bay Packers.
