Jaylon Johnson is a future franchise cornerstone for the Chicago Bears - a young cornerback who has been making waves for his shutdown play. However, his attempts to emulate the current stars' fashion taste, his pre-game outfit on Monday night received mockery from fans.

The one-time All-Pro and Pro Bowler was spotted wearing an all-black suit underneath what appeared to be a mink coat and cap while entering US Bank Stadium ahead of the game against the Minnesota Vikings. He was also carrying a black bag.

There was much mockery afterward, with many comparing him to deceased drug lord Frank Lucas:

More of the ridicule can be seen below:

"That coat made out of 100% rat ass," one thought.
"Pimpish," another retched.
"Dressed up for the Bears funeral because they’re about to get dismantled," another snickered.

Jaylon Johnson not letting Bears' skid get in to his head

Before the 2024 season, the Bears were thought to be the team with the most promise. It was mainly due to their strong offensive core of quarterback Caleb Williams; running back D'Andre Swift, wide receivers Rome Odunze, Keenan Allen, and DJ Moore; and tight end Cole Kmet.

There was also the defense that boasted, Jaylon Johnson, defensive end Montez Sweat, linebackers Tremaine Edmunds and TJ Edwards, and safety Kevin Byard.

But after a decent 4-2 start that had many convinced that the entire NFC North would make the playoffs - a first in league history, said promise has sputtered after the bye week, with seven straight losses and the midseason firing of head coach Matt Eberflus - the first in franchise history.

And after the Washington Commanders won at the New Orleans on Sunday, the Bears are offically out of playoff contention. But Johnson intends to continue playing hard despite that.

He told the press last Thursday:

“When you step between those lines, you’re trying to whoop the man in front of you. That’s still what the game is about. You still play for your name... You can tank all you want and that film is going to be out there forever. So I know when I step out there, there’s always something to prove, regardless of the circumstances.”

He is expected to be matched up against Justin Jefferson, the current receiving yards second-placer, on the field.
