NFL hopeful and Georgia Bulldogs star defensive player Jalen Carter has been in the news for all the wrong reasons in the lead up to the Scouting Combine. The defensive tackle was arrested on Wednesday on charges that were connected to a crash that sadly took the lives of a recruiting staff member plus a Georgia teammate.
Carter has now been released after posting bail and is attending the Scouting Combine as he is projected to go high in the first round. However, him being released on bail and being allowed to attend the combine has not gone down well with many NFL fans.
When news broke that Carter was going to be in attendance and that the information gathering was going to take place per Ian Rapoport of "NFL Network", fans were quick to offer their thoughts. One fan said that Carter should be in jail and not at the combine.

Jalen Carter was expected to be a top-five pick prior to his arrest on Wednesday, and it is unknown if NFL teams will be concerned over the off-field incident.
Many NFL Mock Drafts had Carter going at pick 3 to the Arizona Cardinals, and there is a general thought that due to his off-field issues, that he could drop farther down the draft board.
Whether or not he does remains to be seen, but we know how NFL teams like players to have a squeeky clean image. Sometimes that isn't always possible, but for the most part, players need to be on the straight and narrow.
Jalen Carter is a star on the field. With his off-field issues, he may not be the high-draft-pick many thought, and he may find himself getting selected later on in the draft.
