Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany are expecting their third child together. Making the announcement before the 2024 NFL season began, the couple is excited to meet their baby any day now.

In an interview during the Kansas City Chiefs' Christmas game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Mahomes revealed that the due date is near.

Mahomes, however, promised to Brittany that he'd win No. 1 seed with the Chiefs so they can have the baby. Keeping the promise with a 15-1 record, Mahomes spoke about it after their 29-10 win against the Steelers.

"I told my wife, my pregnant wife, I was gonna get her the No. 1 seed so we can go have that baby," Mahomes said.

Fans, of course, were delighted about the promise, even hyping the couple and congratulating them on their upcoming addition to the family.

"How can you hate this guy," one fan said.

"He's a family man!" another fan added.

"Smart man. Great dad with a lovely wife. Hope they make 8 of em," one user wrote.

Some noted that Mahomes must have wanted some time off.

"Even if I was a diehard chiefs fan, I still would think these two are the biggest tools 🫥," one fan said.

Patrick Mahomes doesn't want to stress out his pregnant wife this season

As mentioned, Patrick Mahomes is days away from welcoming his third child. In an interview with Kay Adams, Mahomes spoke about the pregnancy, and how Brittany has asked him not to stress her out more this season.

With multiple players being injured and a three-peat possibility, this is certainly a stressful season for Mahomes and the Chiefs.

"Brittany says I've been stressing her out too much this season so I got to try not put so much stress on her through these football games and get the bye," Mahomes said. "And hopefully, God works the right way and we can have that baby maybe on the bye week somewhere and then everything will work out perfectly."

Dating since high school, Brittany has been an unwavering supporter for Mahomes. With the Bye week for Chiefs and the baby on the way, one can expect the family to spend some time together ahead of the playoffs in January.
