Another said, "Packers legend."
However, not all comments were positive, as a few fans questioned his prowess on the Gridiron:
"Another unskilled and untrained ex-jock getting hired to be a pretend media person. I feel for young professionals who went to college and were journalism majors". said an X user.
"Don’t care. Overrated his whole career", said another.
"BYE I WONT MISS YOU" said another.
Randall Cobb enjoyed a 13-year NFL career.
The Green Bay Packers selected Randall Cobb as a second-round selection in the 2011 draft. During his collegiate years, Cobb was a key member of the Kentucky Wildcats, and the Packers brought him in to serve as a pass-catching weapon for Aaron Rodgers.
Cobb spent eight years with the Packers before he left for the Dallas Cowboys. The skilled wideout also spent one productive year with America's team, amassing 828 passing yards and three touchdowns in 15 games.
Cobb's next stop was the Houston Texans, where he put up a stat line of 441 receiving yards and three TDs in 10 games. Those were the fewest games that Cobb had played since 2013.
Cobb returned to the Packers for the 2021 NFL season, spending two years with the franchise before closing his career with a stint with the New York Jets. For his career, he amassed 7,624 receiving yards and 54 touchdowns in 166 games.
What next for Randall Cobb?
Randall Cobb will begin his broadcasting career in earnest as he joins the SEC Network as a studio analyst. According to ESPN Press Room, Cobb will appear on SEC Now and join Alyssa Lang for "Out of Pocket Presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors."
Speaking on his addition, Pete Watters, SEC Network Coordinating Producer II, said:
"We are thrilled to welcome Randall to the SEC Network crew. His experience and knowledge of the game, both from playing for the Kentucky Wildcats and in the National Football League, will be an asset to our football coverage."
