Saquon Barkley has done it again: he has dominated on the ground. Only this time, it was not in the regular season but in the playoffs. And he has a greater reward for it than he could have imagined so far in his career: a shot at a championship.

The star running back carried the ball 26 times for 205 yards and two touchdowns as the Philadelphia Eagles held off the Los Angeles Rams in Sunday's divisional-round game. The reigning NFC East champions will face the Washington Commanders in a "rubber match" in next week's NFC Championship Game (the two teams had split the regular season series).

There was plenty of praise for the three-time Pro Bowler.

"I repeat, this is the greatest RB of all time," a fan said.

More of it can be seen below:

"I am so glad he went to the Eagles," one cheered.
"This guy is a gem. Great pickup by the Eagles," another applauded.
"How can you not be happy for this man," another marveled.

Barkley was complemented by quarterback Jalen Hurts, who added 70 yards and a touchdown on just seven carries despite being sacked seven times. Tight end Dallas Goedert was the Eages' leading receiver, catching four passes for 56 yards. The defense, meanwhile, sacked Matthew Stafford five times.

Saquon Barkley reacts to dominant Divisional Round performance vs. Rams

This is just Saquon Barkley’s second time in the playoffs, but the first time he has gone to a championship round. And he could not have accomplished in a better way: by being the best player on his team.

Speaking to the press in the locker room after the game, he said:

"It feels amazing. This is why I came here… I'm just happy for the opportunity, to be here. Looking forward to playing in a championship game."

The game was essentially sealed when he broke free from the defense and blitzed his way for a 78-yard touchdown. According to him, that play was his call:

"It is cool when you work on exercises like that and tell yourself, ‘This is the moment.’ And it happened… It was fun."

Those 205 yards constituted the most in a playoff game in franchise history, and Barkley could not have been happier at setting the record:

"I looked it up… It’s funny how that happened."

Kickoff for the NFC Championship game is at 3 PM ET on Fox.
