Sean McVay is one of the most influential coaches in NFL history, although not by his strategies, as his schemes and playcalling have been used by many other coaches in the past. Rather, he is influential because he changed how teams look for coaches, with an increasing number of them being very youthful.

On Sunday, he tried his hand at commentary during his Los Angeles Rams' preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys, and fans loved it.

More of it can be seen below:

"I really enjoyed him!" one said.
"I'm convinced there's nothing Sean McVay can't do," another said.
"Got potential," yet another said.

As of this writing, the Rams are trailing the Cowboys 12-6, with neither side having scored a touchdown. Instead, it has been kickers Joshua Karty and Brandon Aubrey doing the damage.

Sean McVay praises rookie wideout Jordan Whittington

Another of the standout Rams during the Cowboys game has been Jordan Whittington, who currently has six catches for 74 yards; 67 of them in the first half. During the NFL Network's broadcast of the game, Sean McVay said:

“It’s just not too big for him. Two big catches. Right away on the end cut and then on the slant from the slot. So, he’s a stud. He’s mature beyond his years. We really like him.”

The sixth-round pick out of Texas has been a subject of praise recently. In particular, Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson wrote:

"He's not going to have a Puka Nacua (-esque) impact off the jump, but he has long-term possibility."

The more impressive part about his ascent is that he was close to retiring after an extensive history of injuries dating all the way back to when he was in high school. Speaking late last month to The Press-Enterprise, a Riverside newspaper, Whittington said:

“I was just like, ‘I don’t know if I want to keep doing that to myself.’ Physically, it wasn’t that hard to come back from, but mentally, I was like, ‘Ok.’ Then my stepfather passed away, my grandma, everything was going bad.”

He would eventually hear his name called 213th overall this April.
