Anthony Richardson and the Indianapolis Colts are playing against the Houston Texans in their season opener. The Colts quarterback is coming off a shoulder injury that limited him to only four games last year.
In his first regular-season game back from the injury, Richardson threw a sensational 60-yard touchdown pass to Alec Pierce. The touchdown pass could well be the best play from Week 1 of the new NFL season.
After seeing that touchdown, fans went crazy on social media and heaped praise on the promising quarterback. Here's how they reacted:

At the time of writing, the Texans had a 12-7 lead over the Colts. So far, Richardson has completed 5/9 of his throws for 85 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for 21 yards on two carries.
Stefon Diggs also didn't waste any time in adjusting to life in Houston and has scored a touchdown on his Texans debut.
Anthony Richardson and Colts could surprise many in 2024
The Indianapolis Colts won nine games last year, despite Anthony Richardson only playing four. Now that he's healthy, the Colts are more than capable of surprising teams.
While the Texans are the favorites to win the AFC South, the Colts have the potential to win the division and make a deep run into the playoffs. However, for that to be possible, Richardson needs to stay healthy.
Colts coach Shane Steichen worked wonders with Jalen Hurts and Gardner Minshew in the past two seasons, and he can make Anthony Richardson a superstar.
The touchdown pass from the Colts quarterback today demonstrated his exceptional skills and potential. Hopefully, he and players like Jonathan Taylor and Michael Pittman Jr. will stay healthy this year.
Richardson and the Colts will travel to Wisconsin to play the Green Bay Packers in Week 2.
