Ezekiel Elliott was released by the Dallas Cowboys a few days ago. The running back, who gave his all for America's Team, continuously fell out of favor as his output declined over the years.
Elliott, who is now a free agent, has announced his intention to play for three teams; the Cincinnati Bengals, the New York Jets, and surprisingly the Philadelphia Eagles.
Fans on social media were stunned by Elliott's desire to play for the Eagles due to the rivalry between them and the Cowboys in the NFC East.
Here's how they reacted to the news:

If Elliott ends up signing with the Philadelphia Eagles, there is no denying that he will lose the majority of the fans that rooted for him while he was playing for the Dallas Cowboys.
It will, however, provide him with an opportunity to redeem himself by remaining in the same division as the Cowboys and preventing them from reaching their goal next season.
The Eagles have one of the best offensive lines in football, and a player like Ezekiel Elliott could certainly prosper in it.
Ezekiel Elliott's production has taken a sharp decline
One of the biggest reasons why Ezekiel Elliott was let go by the Cowboys was because his performances didn't justify the money that he was being paid by the franchise.
After signing a six-year, $90 million extension in 2019, Elliott has regressed massively and the franchise had to let go of the running back that carried them during his early years in the NFL.
Last season, Elliott had 231 carries for 876 yards and scored 12 touchdowns in 15 games. He averaged just 3.8 yards per carry and that was a worrying sign for a team like the Cowboys who look to run the ball effectively. The emergence of Tony Pollard helped the Cowboys move on from Elliott.
It will be intriguing to see where Elliott ends up next season, as the Eagles, Jets, and Bengals could all be Super Bowl contenders.
Ezekiel Elliott remains confident in his ability to perform at the highest level, and all questions will be answered next season.
